[A]pproaching the Channel Islands on a 16′ tri-maran may be the closest you will ever get to feeling like an eighteenth century explorer. The Channel Islands sailing adventure will challenge you physically as sailing a small craft is much more intense than a Sunday harbor cruise with a mimosa in your hand. Departing from Ventura, CA we will be racing across 30 miles of the great blue Pacific with dolphins and seals in our wake.
A support boat will be following us to carry all the gear and more importantly the surfboards. The Channel Islands chain is home to some of California’s best surf breaks and we’ll get to experience them all with this island hopping trip. The Channel Islands have been protected by the government so this is a chance to experience California as it was hundreds of years ago.
